Invest with Confidence. For 65 years, people in Rome & Floyd County have benefited from opportunities provided by our Community Investment Fund. We're proud of that, and you can be, too. Your gifts and investments create opportunities to solve real challenges facing our community that no one agency can take on alone.

The scope of our work is changing from a fundraising organization to one that makes real community impact, and we realize you may have some questions. We hold our funded community partners responsible for high standards and we hope you will do the same for us.

We are working to collect the answers to common questions on this page soon. In the meantime, if you don't find what you're looking for on our site, please Contact Us.

HOW ARE DECISIONS ABOUT GRANT FUNDING MADE?

IT'S YOU WHO DECIDES WHERE THE MONEY GOES.   Each year, dozens of trained volunteers from the community are recruited to our Community Investment Team to review applications and make the decisions on how funds raised through United Way are to be invested in human service programs in the areas of education, financial stability and health.

Decisions are based on the merit of organizational and program performance, prioritized need in our community, and the resources available for investment. Once the CIT completes the allocation process, they present their recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval. You can learn more here.
